Kachess Cache (Canadian Invasion #1) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

JKETVANEATON: After being in it's spot for over a decade, it's time to retire this cache. The area that it is in can be a very nice place to visit but over the years the area has become over run by too many people who don't care about the area. Foliage is disappearing, people use the area for a toilet and don't pack things out as they should. When I return to the spot this summer, I'll pick it up and see what is still in it. If there are any travel bugs I'll move them along.

Geocache Description:

Located about 4 miles in from exit 62 on Snoqualmie pass, you will have a good look at Lake Kachess here.

This cache came about because of the archiving of Lake Kachess cache (my fav. at the time). Also, my in-laws have a cabin near-by and since we are up here about three or four times each summer, I thought I'd place one where I could easily check it.

The general area is a very popular place for people to picnic and swim or boat when the resevoir is high. Usually people are trying to avoid park fees or are late in getting to the picnic area in the campground. In August and on the weekends there are many muggles in this area so be stealthy. Trash remains after they leave so if you could Cache In and Trash Out, that would be helpful.

When you find the cache you'll understand the secondary name. I just thought it would be fun and will probably order more stuff from the same company for future caches.
