This one was placed because I took a new cache out while checking
on my other cache at Top o'th woods stables, as there had been a
few DNFs there. When I arrived I found that cache still in place
and in good order, so I decided to leave this in the place that was
2nd choice for the original. This is near to another ruined farm
(Marsden's) in the same woods, it's quite close to a couple of
other caches in the area; but please stick to the paths. This cache
isn't actually in the ruin but at the wood's edge close by - so you
should get a reasonable signal.
These woods are a fascinating place - there are many ruined
farms in here, this area must have been teeming with activity 100
years, but it's very peaceful now. my kids love exploring here (and
so do I) - I hope you do too.
Parking is easiest at the cricket ground - with a nice easy walk
along the Goit.
Note; this cache is NOT in any wall or in any part of the ruin -
so please don't search there. Please leave the cache as you find
it. Thank you.
