Suspicious Pile of Rocks Traditional Cache
OneidaNDN: Unfortunately this one has to go. Due to vandalism & unwanted visitors the owners have locked it up & requested we not place another cache in the area. It was a great run while it lasted & I'm glad so many people were able to enjoy it.

8/3/2012 - Cache was temporarily unavailable due to some concern from neighbors. I have obtained permission to keep it here but with limited hours. Cache is available 7 days a week from 8am-5pm, after 5pm the door will be padlocked. Please CITO while you are visiting so we can keep this awesome cache alive.
While obtaining permission to keep this cache available I found out that it is currently owned by Grace University. There is still little known about the grotto but it was built in 1880 by nuns who served St. Joseph's hospital who wanted to provide a quiet place for family members to go to pray for their ill loved one's. There has been some discussion about moving it to another location so I will be keeping a close eye on this one. ~OneidaNDN
Happened upon this hide searching for interesting roadside attractions online. It appears to be so unknown that it is difficult to find out much information about it. This place was built back between 1870-1880s.
The neighbors have said there have been sightings of animals living or scavenging nearby it. I have only seen harmless snakes and spiders nearby. Sometimes it can have a strong mildewy odor but, don't let that deter you from coming to check out this neat place.
After seeing this place in person I was so in awe about it that I had to hide a cache so others could enjoy it as I did. You may want to bring a flashlight though or even candles are acceptable here. You'll understand why once you see it.
Again, I highly recommend a strong flashlight even during the day. I hope you enjoy this neat place as much as I do.
And last but not least please respect the area and you'll need to bring something to sign with.
