When Sherlock Holmes was first introduced to the case by Inspector Lestrade in ‘The Adventure of the Six Napoleons’ he thought it more Dr. Watson’s area of expertise. Someone in London was destroying busts of the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte.
While Watson and Lestrade thought it a case on monomania - excessive concentration on a single object or idea - only Holmes focused on the motive for destroying the busts.
The cache has a log to sign and a code printed INSIDE the container on the lid; two letters and corresponding digits – part of coordinates for a final cache: The 6 Napoleons-Mr. Sandeford. After signing the log, write down the code so you will not have to enlist Holmes’ help in finding the final cache.
I tried to avoid an idée fix while placing this cache but I may not have succeeded. The cache container is suitable for small trade items and is located in a familiar place but please bring your own writing instrument.
The other regular caches in this series are:
The 6 Napoleons–Morse Hudson; The 6 Napoleons–Dr. Barnicot, Kennington Rd.; The 6 Napoleons–Horace Harker; The 6 Napoleons–Josiah Brown
The final mystery cache:
The 6 Napoleons–Mr. Sandeford
** Caution: The hint is a spoiler. **
There is no particular order to the caches, save for the last, so have fun and
‘Come, Watson, come. The game is afoot…’
