Geocache Description:

A round trip of just over 3 miles on relatively gentle incline along established tracks that were originally tramways serving the numerous abandined quarries that pock mark the mountainside.

There are many abandoned quarries (and one still operating) in this area. The cache is hidden in one of the long abandoned quarries up on the mountainside above Penwyllt.

The quandary isn't finding the cache - this should be a relatively easy find as it's a "classic" hide close to the quarry's entrance. Rather, its about trying to decide what on earth the large green object near the cache is doing there!

Enjoy the spectacular views on the way up and down to this cache.

Suggested parking coordinates are for a large car park next to the South Wales Caving Club's headquarters.

There is a trophy for the first to find the cache!
