Geocache Description:

A nice stroll in Wollaton Park leading to a fairly easy to find cache but the area may become muddy after heavy rain hence 2.5 for terrain.

If on foot or bicycle then I would suggest entering the park at the Middleton Boulevard (A6154) entrance and proceeding along Lime Tree Avenue. Go through the gate that stops the deer escaping (make sure it closes behind you) and continue straight along until the first right turning. Follow this path until it forks and again take the right hand turn. Follow the path and then enter the wooded area at the point N52 57.096 W001 12.204 and follow the fence to your right with the area you want to search is on the left at N52 57.108 W001 12.266

Cars should enter at the Wollaton Road (A609) entrance and park in the first parking area you come to. Make your way straight over the field to N52 57.107 W001 12.355 and enter the woods with the fence to the left and search area to your right.

The cache area and in fact most of the park may have wild deer roaming about at will and although shy and usually weary of humans could pose a threat at certain times of the year especially the calving and rutting seasons. Do not approach them too closely and try not to corner them if their only escape route is through you!

You may have trouble with the gps signal under the trees but the cache site is an obviously interesting place to investigate.
