Puzzle cache at historic Fort Boonesboro with intermediate stops. The park closes at 10 pm.
When Daniel Boone and his men reached the Kentucky River on April 1, 1775, they quickly moved to establish Kentucky's second settlement--the site still known as Fort Boonesborough.
You are looking for a micro cache in a plastic 35 mm type container. Stealth may be required due to this being a busy area. In order to find the cache, you must answer the following questions and do some math. The answers will give you the final coordinates to the cache. The actual cash coordinates are N37.53ABC, W 084 15.DEF.
The answers to A & B can be found at the following coordinates: N37 53.816, W084 16.046
1. The age Colonel Callaway was when he was killed minus 49=A
2. The fare in shillings for a man and his horse to use the ferry=B
The answer to C can be found at the following coordinates: N37 53.735, W084 16.062
3. The month that Boonesboro was settled by Daniel Boone plus the month the First Legislative Assembly was held minus the number of trees mentioned=C
The answer to D, E, & F can be found in the general vicinity of the following coordinates: N37 53.972, W084 15.957. This will require you to do a little reading and gather information from the historical markers.
4. The number of years that Fort Boonesboro was at this original site=D
5. Take the number of acres that Kentucky purchased in 1963, add the two digits together and divide the answer by 4=E
6. The sum of the digits of the year that Fort Boonesboro was designated a National Historic Landmark minus 24=F
