Välkommen till Källö-Knippla
Det här är en mindre multicache där starten är
i Källö-Knipplas gästhamn perfekt för dig som
kommer med egen båt. Finalen, dvs steg 2 är placerad
på en plats utanför bebyggelsen på en höjd
med vacker utsikt över nord-öarna bla, Burö, Hyppeln
och Rörö.
To find the cache: The coordinates leeds you to a machine used to
pull up the trawl from fishingboats. On this black machine you will
find on a plate, a number on how many horsepower (Hkrs) the machine
had when it was in use.
Take this number (abc) and add it to the last three figures in the
east coordinates below and you will find the cache.

KÄLLÖ-KNIPPLA
Först under 1700-talet bosatte sig människor på
Knippla. De större öarna fick bofasta redan på
1500-talet. Under den större sillperioden (1747-1808)
utvidgades bebyggelsen och ett framstående fiskesamhälle
växte fram. Knippla är den mindre ön där
gästhamnen ligger. Så småningom utvidgades
samhället och även Källö började bebyggas.
Källö har fått sitt namn efter Sara-Mors
källa, som fortfarande finns kvar nästan längst ut
på öns nordligaste punkt.
