Pirate's Treasure in Columbia Park, you say??? How can that be??
Remember the scary tale of Pirate's Treasure on Bateman Island nearby, that cachers were able to look for in the now archived Ghostly Pirates of Cache Island (GCTWBY)? Well that treasure was for REAL!!! And is still hanging around somewhere nearby. When the cache pirates pulled up anchor and sailed away, they couldn't remember just where they'd left the treasure, so they left it behind.

It is still not known whether or not the Shipwreck at the WYE, Shipwrecked? Wye Not? (GCXJVX) was where the treasure came from, but speculation has it that it was indeed a huge treasure.



Update:11-2-11 Apparently it got so cold that the Pirates, pulled out the steps and the plank to use for firewood, and dropped a huge beam on top of the cache, smashing it into smithereens. The cache has been moved and coordinates updated.
