A GeoOlympic Themed Event with games, food, fun and awards.


With Lighted Torch...
At Challenger Park
Sunday, August 17th
Noon to 6 p.m.


Let the games Begin!



Whether you are a spectator or a participant, come join us for the first GeoOlympics held in the Houston area.
Games will include Ammo Can Shot-put, Film Canister Discus, Baton Multi-Relay, and Bicycle Sprints.
Yes, bicycles so air up the tires, oil the chain and bring them along.
Just like the real Olympics, these games will be broken into Men, Women and Kids and ribbons will be awarded in Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Start practicing now if you’re “Going for the Gold”.

Washer Toss game will be there for us Olympians to play.
Other games may be added as more plans are refined by the GeoOlympics Committee.

Your GeoOlympics Committee consists of ATMA, Canine Queen, Freysman, JimJoandCourt and Voodoo Chicken. These members have taken the oath of ethical competition and no bribes will be accepted.

Hamburgers and Hotdogs will be provided and we ask that those attending bring a side dish and/or dessert to share.
Bring your lawn chairs and drinks, we will have ice water available.
Please post what you will be bringing and how many will attend in your "Will Attend" post to help us in the planning of the meal.

Opening Ceremony Group Photo will be taken at 1:30 p.m.

PLANNED SCHEDULE


12 Noon-1:30 p.m. Time set aside to eat and visit
1:30-1:45 p.m. Group Picture
1:45 p.m. Opening Ceremony - Where Jim will explain the games, have participants sign up representing their home town, give a timeline of events, and when the awards will be given out.
2:00 p.m. Ammo Can Shot-Put, (Men's, Women's, Young Adults)
2:30 p.m. Bicycle Sprint (Men's, Women's, Young Adults)
3:00 p.m. Baton Relay (Team of Two - any mixture but must be able to find waypoint two on own)
3:30 p.m. Film Canister Discus (Everyone lines up and throws at once) Three furtherest win Gold, Silver and Bronze.
3:45 p.m. Or when games are over, Awards will be presented.
4:00 p.m. Everyone can go find the rest of the caches in the park.

WEATHER NOTE:

The weather reports are placing a 50% chance of rain Sunday but the sun is out for a nice time at the park.
We hope to see you there.
