Bridge Over Troubled Water! Traditional Cache

RoadRoach58: End of life

Since there seems to be not enough interest in hard-to-find caches any more, and since the few that do still hunt them seem to have already found the ones I created, I'm going to close all of them down. It seems us old dinosaurs that played the game for the real challenges in it are a dying breed and no longer welcome in the club that has been redesigned for the younger phone-in-your-hand generations. I knew the difference the day I started playing in "Did Not Find" and "Needs Maintenance". It seems our reviewer has criteria imposed on them that says they have to foreclose on any cache that hasn't been found in a year (whether actually searched for or not), especially if it has a few DNF's on it. I've checked all of my caches over the years, and I won't be forced to do it again on a time table because no one's hunting them or simply because searchers cannot find them. Lack of activity is often the trigger for me to go check them out, but I don't constantly go out there because I like to avoid making geotrails that make them easy to find. What's the point in a high difficulty if it's got a path going to it like a neon sign pointing where it is? Point blank, I wanted to see if I was better at hiding things that most people are at finding them. I guess I was TOO good at it.

The reviewer is picking them off one by one for some pretty pumped up reasoning, so I figured I'd save them the trouble and go ahead and wipe the rest of my caches out. They were fun while they lasted. If you like (like I did) finding archived caches, then feel free to take any container you migh wish to move and re-use. It's a recycling thing. I had a rather lengthy discussion with the reviewer about the new genre of cachers already, and I refuse to give into the instant gratification generations and put out caches that are easy to find just so they can get a find count, which invariably are mistreated and constantly go missing.. If the only goal is to get a high find count, then the caches I hide are not for you. I want to challenge the brain, not the brawn.

The space is now open.

Geocache Description:

Another park in Helena that needed a cache!

The only real trouble here is that the water seldom flows! So, I thought it would be a great place for a micro cache.
