4th Annual Minna Anthony Common Nature Center Geocache Gathering. Located in Wellesley Island State Park.
DATE: Saturday, October , 18 8:30 am–3:30 pm
Opportunity for Geocachers to get together and have some fun, win prizes, teach each other and swap stories. Games and prizes included!
Located at the Minna Anthony Common Nature Center, Wellesley Island State Park. Cabins and Cottages are available to rent in the park, camping areas are closed for the season. Go to ww.nysparks.com for more information on Wellesley Island State Park.
Opportunity for new Geocachers to learn about using a GPS and the sport of Geocaching and seasoned cachers to be challenged with temporary caches. There will be a class for those new to Geocaching and caches set up for all levels and abilities. Prizes donated by area merchants. A great opportunity to meet your fellow geocachers!
Tenative Schedule of Events for 2008 Geocache Gathering will be posted in more detail as the date gets closer.
8:30 am - 9:30 am Coffee and donut Social hour
9:30 Presentation of games
10:00 Let the games begin!
12:00 Lunch
1:00 - 2:30 finish games up
2:30 Report back to Museum building for game scoring.
3:00 Presentation of prizes/awards.
