How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A large ammo box hidden in a suburban neighborhood. A place for travel bugs and geocoins to come and go. On private property…mine and the banks! Do NOT jump the fence(s). Use the gates. Be respectful of the property and use common sense as to the time of day you come by.

This cache is located at my home in Santa Clara. Please be respectful of the property and the neighbors. No late night caching please! This is also a “neighborhood watch” block and the retired people that live here take it seriously. Please do not knock on the door or ring the bell. Just go for the cache. Please ONLY search for this cache during reasonable hours.

I have made it easy for you to figure out which way to approach the cache. You will know what I mean as you approach the coordinates. Again, do not jump any fences! You will have to pass through two gates: one at the street, one on the side of the house. THE CORRECT GATE TO ENTER IS MARKED. If it is not obvious, you are in the wrong location. Please do not go into my neighbor's yard! Parking is plentiful on the street. Use the driveway if you dare.

I have stocked the cache with coins and a few TB’s. Some of the coins are permanent residents and are tagged accordingly. A notepad is provided if you need paper to write down numbers. If you stop by while I am out front working in the yard or cleaning the kayaks, ask me about the Moun10Bike Geocoin #543 coin that is in my collection. It will be available for discovers if you can find me.

Everything else is subject to the rules below.
* If you take a coin, you MUST leave a coin in trade. Note in your log what you took and what you left. Trade as many as you wish as long as it is one-to-one.

* I would prefer you do the same on TB’s: take one, leave one. However, if you see a TB that you are sure you can help on its mission, go ahead and take it even if you do not have a TB to leave.

* Drop as many coins and TB’s as you desire.

* If you drop a TB that needs maintenance or a more durable info tag, please mention it out in your log. I will retrieve it from the cache, create a laminated tag, and do any repairs I can.

I will be rotating in different coins now and then as well as dropping any TB’s I come across in my travels.

Peace,CKayaks
