Geocache Description:

Drove up the Steese Highway to check on my caches and could not resist putting out another cache (or two). From the North Pole to the Yukon River, it is a 350 mile round trip. The fireweed was out in full bloom on the hillsides so don't forget your camera. Saw a fox family, ptarmigin, and snow. No moose or caribou this trip.

There is a small parking area on the south side of the road, very close to the cache location (the cache is alson on the south side of the road). The area was a little wet, but if you step correctly, your shoes will not get wet.

Had seen this "spot" each time I drove the steese and thought it would be a nice location for a cache...and finally, I took the time to put it out!

Not sure if this cache will be available in the winter.
