DND Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

btrueblood: Looks like the container is gone. Somebody wanted a container more than they wanted to play the game. :(

Thanks to all the people who came out for the fun.

Geocache Description:

DND: David and (the) Dragon. Like the role playing game, you may encounter a sleepy dragon, and need to reach under its nose to retrieve its treasure. But don't be greedy, or he's likely to wake up!

David wanted to hide a cache. So, we came back out to one of our favorite spots for hiking, only from a different side. Some past hunters for Runhill's "Feast" series may not know this route, and since this was meant to be an easy one, we have included hints and a waypoint for parking.

We brought a good old medium-size container, with some toys and trinkets for trading. It's a surplus Bundeswehr (German Army) first-aid kit (about the size of a standard-issue ge(amm)o-can), re-labelled to make it somewhat more suitable for geocaching. Please note there are four (4) latches on the can, all of which need to be thrown for the can to open.

Parking is in a cul-de-sac at the end of NE 147th. The trail leaves from the north side of the parking area, near the sign shown in photo #1. At the "T", take a right, and you will go past the Devil's pitchfork, see photo #2. The terrain rating should tell you but it bears repeating: there's no need to leave the trail! (It's also rule #5 on the sign!)

Just for the history of it all, see Runhill's "Main Course", discussed in more detail on the cache pages of our other hides out here. That cache was located about 1/5th of a mile (more or less) from this one, in a more-or-less northerly, more-than-less downwardly, and more-much-more bushy and whacky set of directions. You can thank us later for not revisiting that site :)

The "user's web page" button doesn't work for this long address, so let's try:
