For å komme til Steindalsbreen må du ta av fra riksvei 868 ved N 69° 22.431 E 020° 02.733
Deretter fortsetter du noen hundre meter frem til Akselstua hvor du kan parkere bilen. Turen fortsetter til fots langs meget god sti. Terrenget er tidvis noe bratt. Etter ca.3 km. kommer du frem til Steindalshytta, og herfra går turen i ganske flatt terreng helt frem mot moreneryggen. Turen er totalt ca. 6.5 km. lang og passer fint som en dagstur. Turen byr på storslått og særegen natur. Her får du oppleve et kulturlandskap som byr på flotte fjell/breturer og som i tillegg også er beitemark for sau og rein. Å bevege seg på breen krever erfaring og aktsomhet.
Cachen er plassert ganske nær brekanten, og inneholder blyant og logg og en del pins.

If you want to visit Steindalen you have to leave the mainroad at
N 69° 22.431 E 020° 02.733.
Then you drive a few hundred meters up to Akselstua where you can park your vehicle. Then your walk continue along a very good pathway. The terrain is party steep, but after about 3 km. you can take a rest at Steindalshytta cabin. From this point you continue this trip in more easy terrain.
The total length of this trip is about 6,5 km. and is suited for a daylong walk. You will visit a magnificent and characteristic nature and get the expirience of a cultural landscape that offers great hikes and grazing land for farm animals like sheep and reindeer. In case of inexperience, do not move into the glacier.
The cache is located close to the glacisers tongue and contents a pencil, logsheet and some pins.
