Welcome to Gerles Rock
Please don't be turned away by the title...boys are allowed,
too.
Since childhood, the Gerle Creek Reservoir has been one of my
most favorites places to revisit. It is a fun place for kids (and
big kids
) to explore. I would strongly
recommend you pack a picnic, throw the beach towels and
innertubes (or kayaks and canoes) in the back of the car and
plan on spending most of the day out here, because once you
arrive I'm sure you will find it hard to leave! It is even
rumored there is a
Gerle Mermaid that resides on
the island in the middle of the reservoir.

From Wentworth Springs Road take the Angel Creek Picnic Area
entrance. You will drive down a long, gravel road to the parking
area. Follow the short path leading towards the reservoir and start
your climb up to where "Gerles Rock." The cache is located at a
higher spot that offers some nice views from above the
reservoir.
