Geocache Description:

This cache is a nother of the Gardner Falls caches.
NOT RECOMNED FOR CHILDERN TO GET THIS CACHE

Gardner Falls Diversion Canal/Forebay Dam is on the Gardner Fall Canal River in Franklin County, Massachusetts and is used for hydroelectric power purposes. Construction was completed in 1904. It is owned by Western Mass Electric Co.

Gardner Falls Diversion Canal/forebay is of earthen construction, a gravity dam. Its length is 232 feet. Its capacity is 32 acre feet. Normal storage is 25 acre feet. It drains an area of 7000 square miles.

Nice place to look around and have a picnic.BUT Be very careful there is a drop off on the other side of trees.
