Dieser Cache ist etwas für Motorsport- und/oder Auto/Motorradbegeisterte ohne Klettererfahrungen. Die Cachelocation ist recht schön mit Gasthaus und "Sehenswürdigkeit" in der Nähe ;-)
This cache is for people who like motorsports and/or cars/bikes. You don't have to have any rock climbing experience. The cache location is quite nice with a restaurant and some "sightseeing" nearby.
Es ist ja so, dass doch jeder den Bubentraum vom Rennfahren hat - zumindest das männliche Geschlecht ;-) Ich hatte letztes Jahr ein ähnliches Erlebnis, als ich in einem BMW Z4 (dank meines Brüderchens) ein paar Runden um die berühmte ____ (A) in der Eifel gedreht habe. Natürlich kann man das nicht mit professionellen Rennfahrern wie ____ ____ (B) vergleichen, der an derselben Stelle einen Vertrag mit roten Schildkappen auf Lebenszeit abgeschlossen hat. Aber darum gehts eigentlich nicht ...
Everyone (at least every male person) wants to be a racing driver, when he's young ;-) I had some similar experience, when I had the chance to drive a couple of laps in a BMW Z4 (thanks to my brother) at the famous ____ (A) in the german Eifel. Obviously my driving can't be compared to professional drivers like ____ ____ (B) who concluded a life-time agreement for red caps at the very same location. But that's actually not the topic of this cache ...
Diesmal gehts mehr darum, dass viel Motorsportler auch was für den guten Zweck tun. In den späten 1980er Jahren haben Andrea und Barry Coleman gemeinsam mit dem ehemaligen Moto-GP (damals noch 500ccm) Piloten ____ ____ (C) die Organisation ____ ____ ____ (D) gegründet, die es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht hat, abgelegene Dörfer und Stämme in Afrika mit Medikamenten und medizinischer Unterstützung zu versorgen. Ewan McGregor und Charlie Borman haben in ihrer Serie ____ ____ ____ (E) (übrigens sehr empfehlenswert!) 2007 unter anderem auch diese Organisation unterstützt. Wer selbst mal etwas "spenden" und dafür etwas Adrenalin bekommen will, der kann eine Fahrt mit oben genanntem Piloten ersteigern und ein paar Runden auf einer 2-sitzigen Moto-GP Maschine drehen (ist natürlich eine ____ (F)) ;-)
This time I want to show you, that many petrolheads are doing a lot of charity work. In the late 80's Andrea and Barry Coleman together with former Moto-GP (at that time it was 500ccm) pilot ____ ____ (C) founded the organisation ____ ____ ____ (D). The main mission is the delivery of medicine and medical support to people in africa who live miles from anywhere. In 2007 Ewan McGregor and Charlie Borman supported this charity on their tour ____ ____ ____ (E) (one of my favorite shows, very recommendable!). If you want to spend some money and get a big rush of adrenaline back for it, you can bid on a 2-seat ride on a Moto-GP bike (which obviously is a ____ (F)) ;-)
Sehr interessant finde ich auch ____ ____ ____ (G), eine Organisation die Heinz Kinigardner gemeinsam mit Dietrich Mateschitz (ihr wisst schon, der Gründer von ____ ____ (H)) zur Erforschung von Rückenmarksverletzungen gegründet hat. Leider hat die Geschichte einen traurigen Anlass, da Kinigardner's Sohn ____ (I) bei einem
Wohltätigkeitsrennen gestürzt ist und seitdem im Rollstuhl sitzt.
Aber nicht nur 2-rädrige Benzinbrüder überlegen sich manch Sinnvolles, ein findiger nordländischer Rallye-Fan hat sich dem Kampf gegen Alkohol am Steuer verschrieben und deshalb ____ (J) ins Leben gerufen. Die Website wurde schon länger nicht mehr aktualisiert, so ist der Fortbestand wohl eher zweifelhaft, aber immerhin war der Österreicher ____ ____ (K) der erste "Driver of Honour".
Another interesting charity organisation is ____ ____ ____ (G), which has been founded by Heinz Kinigardner together with Dietrich Mateschitz (you know, the founder of ____ ____ (H)) and aims at curing Spinal Cord Injury Paralysis. The history of the organisation is pretty sad, because the son of Heinz, ____ (I), crashed in a charity race and is dependent on a wheelchair since then.
But not only people on 2 wheels are thinking of useful stuff, one nordic Rallye-Fan had the idea of fighting against drunk driving and therefore founded ____ (J). The Website hasn't been updated in a while, so the success of it seems to be very limited, but at least the austrian Rallye pilot ____ ____ (K) has been the first "Driver of Honour".
So, jetzt habt ihr etwas "Anderes" über Motorsport erfahren, jetzt geht's zur Dosensuche. Dazu gilt es nun nur noch, den Namen unseres "tame racing driver" ____ ____ (L) zu finden, der schon ziemliche jedes flotte Auto gefahren ist. Nun wandelt die Lösungsworte mit altbekanntem Schema (A=1,..,Z=26) um, und berechne die Koordinaten für die nächste Station S1 N 46° [(A-6)*(B-1) + C*D + E*F] / 1000, E 013° [G*(H+6)*4 - (I+8)*J + (K+4)*L] / 1000. Ihr könnt eure Antwort bei Geochecker.com prüfen, falls Unsicherheiten bezüglich der Antworten bestehen ;-)
So, up to know you hopefully learned something different about motorsports, now it's time to go "on site" to find the cache. For that purpose, you have to find the name of our "tame racing driver" ____ ____ (L), who has driven nearly every fast car available. Convert the letters by using the well known scheme (A=1,..,Z=26) and calculate the coordinates for the next waypoint S1 N 46° [(A-6)*(B-1) + C*D + E*F] / 1000, E 013° [G*(H+6)*4 - (I+8)*J + (K+4)*L] / 1000. You can check your answer at Geochecker.com if you're unsure about your answers.
Nun sind nur noch wenige Schritte notwendig, um die Dose zu finden:
- Finde die Höchstgeschwindigkeit des Peel P50 (X) (Herstellerangabe, Km/h)
- Begib Dich zu den Koordinaten von S1 und finde den Namen des Platzes (1. Wort), Wandel diesen wieder mit A=1,..,Z=26 um und Du erhältst Y.
- Optional kannst Du gerne eine Foto mit dem motorsportähnliche Gerät nebenan machen und hochladen.
- Finde die Dose bei NC = N1 + Y - X - 25, EC = E1 - Y + X + 7
Now there are just a few more steps to finde the box:
- Find the top speed of the Peel P50 (X) (manufacturer information, Kmph)
- Get yourself to the coordinates of S1 and find the name of the place (first word), again convert it by A=1,..,Z=26 and you get Y.
- Optionally you can take a picutre of yourself riding the motorsport lookalike object nearby and attach it to your log.
- Find the box at NC = N1 + Y - X - 25, EC = E1 - Y + X + 7
