We had such a fine time at the last float that it was decided we should do it again. The upper S. Santiam river is a little low for a float at the moment but this lower part should be alright.
We will meet at the boat launch at Waterloo County Park at 11 am and leave a few cars behind. Then will carpool to Bates Bridge and float from there. 44* 27.651 - 122* 46.030 or so...
In the past it has taken between 3 and 4 hours to do this float but that's no guarantee of the time. :) An inner tube, raft, kayak, or other floating device is required. Due to the floating-swimming-ness and occasional rapids of this event, attendee discretion may be advised.
Water shoes are recommended, perhaps a lunch, and some water to drink.
See ya there! --Odder
