Geocache Description:

Any season moosehunt in muggletown

The cache is not at the posted coordinates but you will need them to solve the puzzle

There are a lot of moose in muggletown. I have seen at least 20 in town over the years but only three of them have been ‘on the hoof.’ The coordinates posted above are the approximate location of last one I saw in town. If you go there, you probably won’t find a moose and you won’t find a cache but you do need the coordinates.

If you want to find the Muggletown Moose Cache, you don’t need a gun and you don’t need to participate in the Maine State Moose Lottery but you will need to do a little research on moose and, you might learn something about them that you didn’t know.

The cache is a camo'd match container. Please replace it exactly as found.

Congratulations to DSKG for FTF

First, the ground rules for the cache:
The cache is placed by permission but….
-Don’t touch the moose.
-The cache is in a high muggle area so be stealthy.
-Keep your hands off the moose.
-You do not need to take your feet off pavement to retrieve the cache
-I’m sure that it would make a great holiday card but…. keep the kids off the moose.
-Shrubs, landscaping, weeds and mulch are also off limits.

On with the hunt:
A = At what address will you find the mangy moose?
B = What is the number of palms on the rack of the bull moose hanging over the fireplace in the Flagship Store’s new hunting fishing department?
C = Some cows (bovine) have horns and some have bells. How many bells does a moose have?
D = What is the number of live moose sightings by S-Ray in Freeport?
E = What is the number of chromosome pairs (as compared to 23 in a human) that your average moose is carrying around?
F = Cool as a Moose is a neat store. I also like the Cool Moose in Bridgton.
G = What is the number of upper incisors in an average moose’s mouth?
H = Bullwinkle's antlers looked more like a well worn saw than a healthy rack. If his rack were a saw, how many teeth would it have??
I = What was the first year of the Bull Moose Party?
J = ( D+ E – H + I ) / 4 (round to whole number)

Add the listing’s latitude to N 000 00.GCB
Subtract W 0000 00.J from the listing’s longitude
