The cache is located in front of an EMS station. The terrain will allow anyone of any ability to access the cache. This cache is wheelchair accessible, and handicap parking is in front of the station, not at the listed parking coordinates. Handicap parking is only 20 feet from the cache. This is a very easy cache and dash for the entire family.

use the parking coordinates provided. This does not
apply to handicap parking Cachers.
2. NO DIGGING or WALKING in the flower bed.
3. The hours for this cache are 7 AM to 10 PM.

Welcome to station 79 in Washington County, Maryland. The station houses an ambulance company known as Smithsburg Emergency Medical Services, Inc., or SEMS Company 79. The station itself was built more than 25 years ago when the ambulance company split away from the town’s fire dept. The station is staffed 24/7 - 365 by a combination of both Volunteer and Career EMS Providers. During the posted hours for this cache, and if you happen to find us in station between calls, please feel free to stop in for a tour (show and tell) of our Ambulances, ALS Chase Vehicles, and all the life saving equipment they carry.
This cache is located beneath a vertical control benchmark in a flower bed on the front side of the station. So you’ll be able to log two finds for one stop! The cache container is a small Official Geo – Earth Geocaching stone container as seen on the Groundspeak Shop web site. It's a little hard to open due to being new, but it just pulls apart. Please bring your own pencil or pen to sign the log. There is room to drop off small TB’s and Coins only. If there is a need in the future, an additional cache container of traditional type might be added to manage coins and TB’s.
