Geocache Description:

Cache is NOT at the above coords. You can use these coords for parking if you choose to pursue this on bicycle or foot. This is a very simple puzzle cache.

Dust off your copy of "The Complete Sherlock Holmes" (readily available in the library or inexpensively at most used book stores). You won't need to do exhaustive reading or searching, as all the information that you will need is in one convenient place. Except for a bit of mowed grass, this is entirely an asphalt search. Important: Please respect any private property borders that you might find. This is all on public property (except for the parking coords listed above).

We need a few numbers:

A = the number of Napoleans
B = the number of Garridebs
C = the number of orange pips
D = the number of stains
E = the number of gables
F = the number of cyclists
G = the number of students

Some quick math:

H = G - E
J = A + F

Your first stop is located at:

N 43 FB.HHC
W123 DF.FHJ

When you arrive here, note the street address on the building to the south. Call this "T". Add together the digits of "T". Call this "V". Subtract: Z = T - V

Find X and Y:

Z = X + Y and
3X = 2Y

Round X and Y up to the next whole number. There is a nearby park where you can sit in the shade and do your arithmetic.

(Actually, you can solve these equations at home w/o knowing what Z is. You'll end up with a couple of simple percentages that you can easily apply to Z when you reach the first location. This will save you a lot of time in the field if your algebra is a bit weak. Email if you have problems or, if in doubt, to verify if you have done it correctly.)

The location of the final is your current latitude plus X, and your current longitude minus Y.

The final is less than 800 feet from your current location. It's a log-only micro. Bring your own pen and replace it EXACTLY where it was because it tends to become "unhidden" otherwise.
