Geocache Description:


A cache in Caledon Natural Area. Walk the scenic trails through old growth forest in this Virginia park. Caledon's principle role is a Bald Eagle preserve. At more than 2500 acres, Caledon protects a large tract of forest, and provides nearly eight miles of year round hiking trails, with additional trails open in the off-season. This area suffered a substantial amount of blow-down during a serious storm a few years back. You are looking for a micro in the woods. What fun! GPS reception was a bit spotty when placing this cache, but it shouldn't be too hard to find (for an experienced cacher, anyway).

Placed with permission. Parking is at the main lot by the visitor center. Park hours are 8:00 am to sunset, and there is a parking fee of $3.00 during the week and $4.00 weekends and holidays. Get all the park's caches while you are there. Stop and enjoy the visitor center if its open!
