A traditional cache in a 180ml Lock'n'Lock container. Hidden above ground level, visible from 2 m.
The name of the town translates as "Land of Many Hills', and it has a population of around 100. During the Prohibition there was a pub under the building that now houses Mainland Minerals. This town has one of the biggest country schools in Southland, has a nursery specialising in native plants, a brickworks, 2 engineering businesses, petrol pumps and a shop - which is famous locally for the 'new'leather' smell of its equestian supplies. An area of burgeoning dairy industry, Crighton Park - up near the local adventure camp - uses innovative dairying ideas, its effluent management scheme being experimental for Environment South. This town was originally settled as a railhead for the Kaiwera and Waikoikoi districts.
CAUTION: THE CACHE AREA IS A HIVE OF ACTIVITY AT TIMES. PLEASE DO NOT GET IN THE WAY - ALL CALMS DOWN WITHIN 5 MINUTES. BEST TO PARK ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD, AND IT WILL BE OBVIOUS WHERE TO STEER CLEAR OF!
