A sub-urban cache, hidden in the hinterland behind Oxted and on the long-distance path that takes you over the M25, onto Oxted Downs (National Trust) and the North Downs Way.
A quick cache hidden in woods behind Oxted which offer probably the only view of Oxted without the gasholder in sight. The neogothic red brick pile on the skyline is St Michael's Limpsfield, a school until 1996 and now, as is the way of things, converted into flats. The lanscape around the cache site is threatened by plans to build a further 650 homes on this greenbelt site. So enjoy a lovely bit of Surrey while you can - a nice walk up from Bluehouse Lane.
The cache is a clip-top box, limited in volume so only small items please. At time of placing, the cache contains a reward for the First To Find of 10,000 Zambian Kwacha (don't get too excited - worth £1.62)
