There is an interesting little story to go with this cache! I live about 1/2 mile from the cache site. My wife and I walk every morning (this is a wonderful area to walk-lots of wildlife etc--I love it!) I have walked past this area hundreds of times, but this one particular morning, I happened to look into the woods, and saw a grave stone. You would NEVER see this from a car, and it was really hard to see from the road on foot. A short time later, I happened to meet one of the people that live in the area. (I was walking, He was checking his mail box....) I talked to him for a few minutes, and asked him about the old cemetary. By chance, the cemetary is on his familys land, and he was very familiar with the history. Years ago, all this land (including the land my house is built on) belonged to the Fry family--it was part of their plantation. They had a big plantation house, located somewhere to the south of the cemetary. (the man remembered when the ruins burned down sometime in the early 1950's--he said it was partly a big log house, and partly a conventional wood house.) Anyway, this was the plantations cemetary. I asked for permission to hide a Geocache---the man was very kind and said that would be fine. Please park at the posted parking coordinates, please do not approach any of the houses in the area, and do not park in their drive ways, and most of all, if you see any trash, pick it up! This cemetary is very overgrown and neglected.................if anyone is looking for a public service project for scouts etc, let me know and I will send you the land owners phone number. I am sure they would love to have help maintaining this historic site! Now, to find the cache........1.Park at N33 18 294 W 084 48 575 2.Go to N33 18 301 W 084 48 595 At this location you will see 2 grave stones, both gentlemen are named "John Fry" 3. Stand between the 2 gravestones, and using your compass, steer a course of 360 degrees, 4. Walk approximatly 50 feet, you will see a large headstone in the shape of an arch, ( the Fry family plot) standing in this position, turn to compass heading 90 degrees. the cache is approximatly 10 feet on this heading. Cache is a small white plastic bottle. It is not necessary to disturb any rocks or grave stones to find cache. (Please be respectful)
