The old School Yard
This Location was the Location of Smokies place for learning. From Stories told he went to school in bare feet .
Next door to this location about where the driveway that goes up the hill is where we exchanged our wedding vows
many many years ago.

The township was laid out in April 1859. The postal service commenced operations that year though an official building was not erected until 1894.
In 1871 a ferry service was established across the Clyde at the township and Electricity arrived in the late 1940s
A private school was opened by John O'Reilly in 1872, however it became public in 1896. Mr W Islay was contracted to erect a new school in 1894 and the residence built in 1895/96. This school was purchased by the Country Women's Association and the public school moved to Vesper Street.
The new school is now at Surfside not far from our first house and where we used to fly our model planes
Beware of the light poles across the road heading south , they are a favorite resting spot for our local
pelican population. You Have been warned.
The cache is a small container that is easily accessible
No need to destroy the gardens rock walls or any thing else as you can reach it from the grass, .
