A morning of exploring on Sykes Mountain in the October Mountain
State Forest found us at this spot for a break and some dog treats.
Not too long ago we had some weather that ripped down some mighty
big trees near the road down below. These trees (there's only a few
of them) were also casualties of the storm. We were attracted to
the spot because there was so much light coming through where there
used to be a canopy from these large fell pines. You won't need a
hint for this one, it's in a fairly obvious spot.
