Geocache Description:


While vacationing in Pinecrest, we just *knew* we had to hide a cache or two to commemorate our trip. Pinecrest Lake and surrounding areas are beautiful, so bring your camera and sense of exploration while visiting this amazing display of nature. The hike/walk around the entire lake is about 4 miles, and there are many gorgeous spots to stop and enjoy the scenery and water, if you fancy a dip or two!

You are looking for a Thermos soup container with trinkets and a log book. The hide is pretty traditional, and should stay water and snow proofed through the winter. We came up from the trail along the water's edge, but if you are creative, you can come down from above as well, as that's the way we headed after placing the cache. We loved the view from up here, and we hope you do too!
