Cemetery
Another in the Sunday
Drive Series...Givin just to get the family out for a drive in the
country.
From
Waynesburg follow Route 21 West approximately two miles, just east
of the small village of East View. The cemetery is located on the
left hand side of the road and is situated next to Waynesburg
University's ballfields. It can easily be seen from the road and is
surrounded by a white vinyl fence. Access can be gained through a
single gate.
This
cemetery is in poor condition but is cleared off a few times each
year. Some stones are worn badly from age, and some have fallen. I
also found eight unidentified fieldstone markers, eight completely
illegible stones and few bases with no stones. No burials have
occurred here in well over 120 years.
