Geocache Description:

No, you're not in West Texas!

Way back in 1875 oil was found in Livermore Valley. The first oil well was a few miles northeast of Livermore. Soon oil was being pumped from Alisal Valley to Midway.

The wells near here are over 5000 feet deep and were first drilled in 1967.
