Geocache Description:

*THIS CACHE IS OPEN DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS ONLY!!*

Fashion Farm was origionally started when Charles and June Williams bought 200 acres formally known as the "Green Farm." The name Fashion Farm came from "W.B. Fashion," a Red Poll cow that was the granddaughter of the origional 4-H calf purchased by Charles in 1931.

In spring of 1960 the first year they aquired the farm, four acres of garden was planted. They opened up the farm market on June 22, 1960, and in 1969 the market moved into the barn because of the growth they had seen. In 1974, the April 3, tornado destroyed everything but 3 buildings. With the rebuilding of Fashion Farm along came new changes. They rebuilt This Ole House, this houses 6 generations of family keepsakes, and the Farm Market. Along with the house and market they built a new restaurant, which opened in March, 1975, and the Fantasyland Area became known what is now Fashion Farm. A greenhouse was later added.

The corporate business was formed in 1975 and continues with Russell and Patricia ( daughter ) Becker, and Jason ( grandson ) and Vicki Becker. The 200 acres of Fashion Farm is Zoned 7 acres business and 18 acres in a residential addition, more commonly known as Fashion Manor. The remaining land is farmed. With beans, corn, wheat, pumpkins, gourds, and many other produce.

During the entire month of October Fashion Farm hosts what is known as the Pumpkin Fantasyland. The Fantasyland started in 1972 when " Charlie Pumpkin" put 2 butternut squash together and imagined he saw Snoopy. Each year is a new theme. But they always have all of the U.S. Presidents, storybook and movie characters. All of the animals and characters are made from pumpkins, gourds and squash.

Charlie Pumpkin says: "Pumpkin Fantasyland is good for all us kids."
