This cache has been archived.

foreverblue: It's been a rare summer...all 4 of my caches at Camp Dearborn were stolen. Time to pass the torch along to someone else.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Camp Dearborn in Milford, MI. The fee to enter the park is $4 for Milford and Dearborn residents and $6 for non-residents during peak season (Memorial Day-Labor Day...during the off season, it’s $3 for everyone). Season stickers are also available for $20 to residents and $30 to non-residents. It’s free to walk or ride your bike into the park, however.

While you’re in the park, take some time to enjoy a picnic, swim at the beach, take a paddleboat ride, fish in the lakes or the Huron River, or play a round of golf at the Mystic Creek Golf Club. Make a weekend out of it and bring a tent or your RV, or rent a tent or cabin on-site. It’s a great place to spend a day or the weekend...I’ve been going out to the park since I was little, and I absolutely love it. There are tons of activities for kids, and all kinds of playground equipment to keep them busy. Campers also have access to the heated pool.

See www.campdearborn.com or www.mysticcreekgc.com for more information.

This cache is located along the Huron River. The best place to park is down by the river’s edge. If you drive along the eastern perimeter of the park, you will come to a small access road on the right before a black fence. You can take that road down to the river. The terrain where the cache is hidden is steep, so wear good shoes or hiking boots. Also keep an eye out for poison ivy. Depending on the time of year, there may be many muggles fishing in the river, so be careful! You’ll find an ammo box filled with all kinds of cool stuff for adults and kids.

Happy hunting!

Congrats to Track for the FTF!
