Tscherniheim ist heute ein verlassener Fleck mitten im Wald. Zu besseren Zeiten, zwischen 1630 und 1879, arbeiteten in der dortigen Glashütte bis zu 200 Menschen. Die begehrten Glaswaren wurden bis nach Tirol, Herzogtum Krain und Italien verkauft. In Tscherniheim wurde ein Salzfass aus Glas hergestellt, das man ohne Übertreibung Kärntner Saliera nennen kann. Heute stehen nur noch die kleine Kapelle und eine Gedenktafel, die an vergangene Zeiten erinnern.
Wenn du vom Drautal aus kommst, fahre bei Feistritz/Drau über Kreuzen und den Farchtensee und parke bei Weißenbach (N46°41,058' E13°26,357').
Weiter geht’s dann zu Fuß oder mit dem Bike über die Fischeralm zum Cache.
Vom Weißensee aus ist der Cache über die Ortschaft Unternaggl und der Bodenalm per Rad oder zu Fuß zu erreichen.
Bitte nur gläserne Dinge in den Cache geben (ausgenommen TBs und Geocoins) und daher auch vorsichtig mit der Box umgehen.

Tscherniheim is now a deserted spot in the middle of the forest.
In better times, from 1630 to 1879, up to 200 people worked in the local glass factory. The glassware was sold to Tyrol, Duchy of Krain and Italy. Today you can see only the small chapel and a memorial tablet.
Comming from the Drautal, drive from Freistritz/Drau to Kreuzen, the Farchtensee and park at Weißenbach (N46°41,058' E13°26,357'). From here you can hike or bike via Fischeralm to the cache.
Coming from the Weissensee, the cache can be reached via Unternaggl and the Bodenalm.
Please trade only things made of glass (except TBs and Geocoins) and handle the box carefuly.
