A well-camoed micro near Dunsmuir House
This is a micro near the historically-significant Dunsmuir House in the hills of East Oakland. This is a beautiful property with a magnificent mansion and nicely kept grounds. They have tours available at times that are worth doing for a glimpse into life in the late-19th century!
In the month of December, the house and grounds are decked out for Christmas in traditional style. Several movies have been filmed here as well. Great location!
I decided to get a little creative with my cache containers to make them a little harder and more fun to find. This one might prove to be rather hard to spot being hidden in plain sight.
Park along the cul-de-sac and pass the yellow gate. Continue up the trail a ways, with the cyclone fence fence on your left and the wooden fence on your right. I hope those who find it will give me their opinion of the cache!
Be sure to place the cache back where you found it so it is not obvious (camo makes it specific to its spot in the immediate area). You'll see! Enjoy!

Update 6/2/09: New container, might even be a little more evil than the first (upped difficulty half a notch to reflect)!
Contains log in ziploc, two of my signature frogs and sparkly lizard.
PLEASE NOTE: It will require some hand strength to open it (good tight fit for rainy season, I like it!). External camo can be rearranged a little for maximum effect for the next seeker! I found this discarded container while on a caching run through a park in San Jose almost a year ago; I was just waiting to use it for a cache after appropriate alterations were made.
Update 1/31/10: Yellow gate is now white, thanks to city of Oakland.
