This Cache is a small micro entering the municipality of the stinky fish. The name Metchosin is the anglicised version of the native "Smets-Schosen", which means "place of stinking fish". Local legend maintains that many years prior to the Europeans' arrival, an orca beached and died, and that everywhere they could smell it rotting became part of Metchosin. Use stealth and listen for coming traffic to avoid being spotted. It is an unusual place to hang around. If you have some time and want the best food on the lower Island, stop by the local cafe! You'll be pleasantly surprised.
