Geocache Description:

Parking in Taos Canyon on highway 64 at N36 22.565 W105 32.821 at the Divisidero Trailhead

Cache is located on Divisidero Peak on the Divisidero Loop Trail. Lovely hike with beautiful views of Taos and the surrounding mountains. It's a 6 mile loop with the cache located about halfway through. At the point the trail splits and the loop starts, you can go either way, your choice. An easy find once you do the hike, but it is NOT hidden in the rocks of the throne, so please don't dismantle it! Once you find the cache, you can either go back the way you came, or continue and do the entire loop. It's well worth it.

A FEW TIPS
- Bring more water than you think you'll need. It's hot and dry and no fun to get dehydrated. If you're hiking with dogs, bring water for them, too.
- Not recommended for kids under 10. It IS six miles, after all.
- It's a nicer hike if you can do it in the cool of the morning or late afternoon.
- I personally prefer taking the left fork of the loop first and working my way around the low side to the peak. I've done it both ways, and that way always feels easier.
- About snakes: I do this hike every other week or so and have never seen a snake, but it's the desert, so use appropriate care.
