Pirate Treasure Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

~Tango~: Aaaaaaaaargh, the treasure has been plundered. Not by some noble buccaneer but by an illiterate, ignoramous muggle. Alas, the fearsome Captain Ralph did not leave his cutlass to his descendants so that one mighty slicing blow would at least render these muggles incapable of reproduction.

Geocache Description:

Captain Ralph's hidden treasure lies waiting for modern treasure hunters.

Many years ago, the fearsome pirate Captain Ralph sailed the seven seas guided only by the dog star. His descendants had but one piece of paper left by Captain Ralph with this puzzling message: "Aaaaaaargh ye scurvy hounds. I have hidden me treasure near the sand dunes of the fair Emu Beach. Go sou' west on the black path past the pirate's lookout. When ye get to the traveller's rest, turn inland and follow the sandy path. My treasure lies in a sturdy metal box near the path".

One of Captain Ralph's great great great grandsons doggedly followed these clues and eventually found the treasure. He hopes that other treasure hunters might find it too.

Take a hearty snack and enjoy the view from the pirate's lookout once you have found the booty.

There are a lot of bandicoots and black skinks in the area and you may hear them moving around. As with any cache set in the Australian bush, keep an eye open for snakes, just in case they don't hear you coming and move out of your way.
