located on the eddyville sand dunes preserve.
this cache should be easy to find, I made it from some junk I had around. you will need both hands and some hand eye coordination to open and close the cache, this area is managed by mahaska county conservation. many thanks to them for allowing this cache to be placed here. if you choose to hunt for this cache, we suggest finding( the other sand prairie) cache first, as it will lead you to the parking lot for this preserve
10- 19 -08- just thought I would add that this area has no conservation signs, no mowed trails.although MCCB does mow the entire area from time to time. there are some old farm buildings that can be seen from the parking area. they are remnants of past farming operations that took place here before this area was designated as a preserve. they used to have rodeo's here a long time ago. this is a fairly easy walk on flat ground through prairie grasses.about 600 feet from the parking area at the edge of a wooded area. I hope you will enjoy finding this as much as I enjoyed making it.
