PC#4 - Smack Dab in the Middle Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Devil Winds: Gallaghd told me about the area and I verified mother nature's fury. The entire deadfall/strainer that you used to have to climb up onto and tight rope across in order to get the cache has been destroyed or rearranged and replaced with another that just doesn't lend itself to this style of hide. Good bye, old friend...

Geocache Description:

PC = Paddle Cache.

Most of the Paddle Caches will be placed by canoe ("without a paddle" caches may also show up), but all caches in this series will be in, on, or around the local rivers and lakes. Some may be high terrain and require some paddling finese, while others may just require you to wade knee deep into a river to make the find. All of them will hopefully take you to the less frequented locations on our local rivers and lakes.

Visit PC#1 - Pigeye Creek to check out the first PC cache.

Visit PC#2 - Thorny Strainers! and Log Jams! to check out the second.

Visit PC#3 - Without a Paddle to check out the third in the series.

Visit PC#5 - Island Hopping to check out the fifth PC cache.

Visit PC#6 - Storm Creek to check out the 6th PC cache.

Visit PC #7 - The Good, the Bad, and the PUK'Y to see the 7th.

I really like the area here and it is very under-utilized. This part of Caesar's Creek is still wild and unpredictable since it is quite a bit upstream of the lake area. You can play-boat in this area when the water is up, but you would be dragging your watercraft over sand bars and strainers during times of normal water flow in this area. I would suggest leaving the boat at home for this one. And just for reference, the 4 star terrain is for two reasons, one of which includes wading down the creek in times of average water flow.

Now, I have been fairly descriptive with my other PC caches, so for this one, I am going to break from tradition and let this cache be a mystery for you until you get there. I believe it will present several decision making challenges for you that will affect how difficult finding the cache is. Now get out there and enjoy yourself - this area is just begging for some companionship!
