Geocache Description:

Kiwi Explorer will be in Auckland for a short stopover on the way home to Nelson from Sydney. Q Moto was kind enough to agree to meet him here for a short geo-caching jaunt. (Any excuse for a weekend away from the little geo-cachers!)

I had been working on a few of TWS's MIP puzzles and emailed him for some assistance and checking of answers. He suggested meeting some of the locals might be a good idea. This sounded like a great idea.

Q Moto has been caching since early 2005 and Kiwi Explorer is a complete newbie not even a year yet. KE thought Q Moto's hobby was rather odd when he first took it up, went out with him a couple of times but just didn't get it. (I thought he was nuts!) KE then took up the game last year to get his kids out and about - I got hooked and the rest is history. Q Moto probably now thinks I'm nuts!

Kiwi Explorer was born in Auckland but has lived in Nelson and other South Island places ever since. So we don't know Auckland very well. Gz should be near Takapuna Beach if I have read Google Earth right - looks like a nice spot. A bit hard to see if there are any seats nearby via Google Earth so if anybody has a better spot close by then I can update the co-ords. If wet we may have to find a local cafe, presume they have some of those in Auckland.

So please come along so we can meet the locals and vice versa. The locals can also meet each other I guess. We will round up a few TB's and coins next weekend to bring with us and can take any others back to the Mainland if you want.

We will be at GZ at 11:00am - a couple of hours should be enough time to say gidday, swap some stories, eat a bit of lunch (BYO) and then we better be heading towards the airport. Looking forward to seeing you there.
