Remember this cache, like many in parks throughout Anchorage, is sharing the area with BEARS, so practice 'Bear Aware' while hunting for caches in these areas. Cache in groups, make noise, no loose dogs, etc. Read more in the posted log from NorthWes below.
The walk to this cache is on fairly flat ground, not a strenuous walk at all, but definately not on a large well traveled path.
I think this bison cache will be a little tough, and maybe frustrating. Only go after this one if you want a bit of a challenge. Some of these old trees have so many nooks and crannies to check, and the size of the container is small which also makes it a struggle.
Your feet never need to leave the ground for this cache, no need to climb.
Parking is at N 61 09.663 W 149 45.485
You can enter at the fill site sign and follow the trails to the cache, which is a little longer, or you can carefully walk the side of the road to N 61 09.655 W 149 45.370 and follow a rougher but shorter trail into the cache.
