In Burnett County, this Segment of the Gandy Dancer Trail extends .4 miles from Highway 77 north to the St. Croix River Bridge. This 520' trestle bridge is a trail highlight and crosses more than 75' above the wild and scenic St. Croix River into Minnesota.
I couldn't believe there wasn't a cache here already. I have often fished under this trestle and watched the ATV's zoom across the impressive span. ATV trails abound on both sides of the border and ATV's are welcome on this span of the Gandy Dancer Trail. Beautiful views from atop the trestle. Stage one is located on the Minnesota side of the trestle and is a micro with coords only. Stage two is a regular size cache located on the Wisconsin side of the trestle. I spent two hours in the area while hiding the cache and there are walking trails down to the river on both sides of the trestle. Enjoy the view.
