Geocache Description:

The Vee, Knockmealdown Mountains, County Tipperary. Sloping gravely trail leading to a lake.

The Vee is a gap in the Knockmealdown mountains allowing access between counties Waterford and Tipperary at this point. On a clear day there are good views of the Tipperary landscape to the north. Scenic drive info here.

You will notice large quantities of Rhododendron growing on the mountainside near the lake. This is not a native plant and is clearly out of control at this stage.

The best place to approach this site is from the carpark on the Waterford side of the border. The trail leading down from here is wide and accessible in all weathers.

The cache is a camouflaged film canister. BYOP. Parking coordinates provided in Additional Waypoints.
