Geocache Description:

An old logging camp location

Spruce Camp

a swinging bridge once crossed the river here

Location of cache was once a logging camp. Soldiers harvested Sitka Spruce during world war 1 for air planes. A swinging bridge crossed the Sol Duc river very near to where the image above was taken.

Cache is a quick drive by, but there is a nice trail along the river you should take time to walk.
