Glenemma - Pine Boulder Traditional Cache
ShuswapEd: The area has become more active as a camp ground and staging area for off road folks. Cache has been destroyed and I have elected to archive this one and place a new one closer to the entrance to the area.

The cache is located on the edge of an open area approximately 250 metres beyond the blacktop
Exit north off Highway 97 onto Salmon River Road. Travel 2 kilometers and turn left (west/north west) onto Yankee Flats Road (There is a small store/cafe on the corner). As you wind up the hill Yankee Flats Road will make a hard right turn at the top of the grade. Continue straight ahead on McTavish Road. After 1.1 kilometers (from the store) you will cross a cattle guard and the black top ends. At the Y in the road keep to the right and continue to a large open area. The cache is located at the western edge of this clearing.
The general area is being used by outdoor enthusiasts for off road adventures. There are many trails and a decommissioned logging road that lead to the upper back country. It is a great area for hiking, horse back riding and ATVs. Normally there are not many people around the clearing.
