New Almaden Trail. 3.0 Terrain to cache. Cache location makes it a 3.5. Cache is not on or under the bridge. Expect to start at 400'of elevation and rise to 725' or so. Web Canyon / Water Tank trail is the shortest route.
Kitkat and I happened across this new bridge on our way to the other new bridge. This was a fine place to stop both there and on the way back. We thought others would like to visit this nice new bridge too. Stop, rest, relax, lean on the railing, enjoy the serenity. Careful of the linseed oil that might have been recently brushed on. Expect annoying little flies to fly into your eyes and ears too!
We liked this spot enough to hide the yellow floaty we had with us. This is bright yellow and the size of two or three film cannisters. This cache will be a challenge to find. We considered making it easy but decided we liked the hiding place and since it is just a mile from the closest parking and about 30 minutes to the cache, it will be one of the hard ones to find. If you don't like hard caches, you should skip this one. The hint mostly tells you where it is not. This could be "Somewhere along New Almaden" if we were someone else.
There is nothing in the cache but a sheet to sign. There is no special first to find trinket. Just a small, difficult cache in the woods.
