Bäl kyrka är uppförd i olika etapper under 1200-talet. Tornet fädigställdes aldrig i höjd och de planerade sidogallerierna uteblev. Kalkmålningar från 1200- och 1400-talet upptäcktes vid senaste restaureringen. Dopfunt och krucifix 1200-talet, prästbänk med porträtt 1642, altertavla 1664, epitafier 1600-talet, predikstol 1722.
