Geocache Description:

This geocache is located on a mid-sized island in Georgian Bay. Overall difficulty we rated at 3.5 because rocky terrain is steep.

This geocache is located on Fairhead Island, a mid-sized crown land island in Georgian Bay. For those geocachers willing to venture out to our treasures this island is located near Dillon Cove Marina (approximately 3 km by water) where you can launch a boat. It is not far from the marina (approx. 3 km) but watch for rocks and shoals close by to the island. When boating on Georgian Bay it is advised to wear polarized sunglasses.

To find the cache, some bush whacking is required as well as climbing a steep rocky slope. Our cache is a coffee can that has been placed in a Ziploc bag to protect it from the rain.

The spectacular view of Georgian Bay makes it well worth the trip!!!

Original treasures left by our young geocache creators include:
A lure left by Max, age 6.5 and Parker age 2.5 who both love fishing and hope someone else will enjoy a fishing experience with the lures they left.
A special toy car left by Sam, age 4.5, who hopes someone else will have as much fun playing with it as he did
And a train whistle and train gum donated by Griffin who just celebrated his 6th birthday with a train theme.
